Kiahuna Plantation is Kauai's Best Beach Vacation Destination

The Kiahuna Plantation Swim and Tennis Club provide free tennis and a new swimming pool just across Poipu Road. The Kiahuna Plantation pool includes a waterfall, water slide and shallow sandy beach area for kids to play. The Poipu Shopping Village with shops and restaurants is also across Poipu Road at the back of the plantation. There is a nice restaurant Plantation Gardens on location at Kiahuna Plantation, at the pool/tennis court area is Casa Blanca, and Joe's on the Greens is located at the Kiahuna Golf Course. The nearby Kiahuna Golf Course is an excellent 18 hole course with exceptional ocean views.

Poipu State Park

This Kauai state park is a five minute walk down the beach from Kiahuna Plantation. This is a great place to snorkel and includes an area that is considered one of the safest spots for small children to play in the water. Poipu State Park includes large grassy areas, covered picnic tables and bathrooms. On the other side of the state park is Brenneke’s Beach, a great place to boogie board for those who are comfortable in the surf. Spouting Horn is a short drive away, as is Old Koloa Town with grocery store, shops and restaurants that reflect the charm of an old Kauai sugar plantation town.
